Campus Expansion Capital Campaign Goal $6.9 million
Building for Recovery
Established in 1963, Lifetime Recovery has grown to be one of the largest residential treatment centers in South Texas. In order to continue our 50+ year legacy of providing the highest quality, client-centered care for both men and women suffering from the ravages of substance use disorders, the Board of Directors has begun a campaign to raise $5.9 million dollars in Phase I to renovate existing heritage buildings at our Southton Road Campus.
OLD MAIN - HISTORICAL GLORY - FULFILLING MISSION
Lifetime Recovery's restoration of this grand example of Spanish Colonial Revival architecture provides a classic environment for residential treatment for thousands of people. "Old Main's" dormitories and semi-private suites offer each person the dignity of healthy surroundings. Community spaces, renewed counseling offices, and group rooms are conducive to evidence-based treatment. The beauty of this 1930's building is enhanced by 21st century infrastructure and amenities, a new environment for healing and recovery.
THE WORKSHOP - EXCITING NEW PURPOSE
This 1940's building, originally used for woodworking projects and grounds maintenance, is remodeled into a beautiful, well-equipped, state-of-the-art kitchen, dining, and flexible community space. In restoring new life to a building, new life is restored to Lifetime Recovery's residents. With large windows, indoor and outdoor spaces, a new atmosphere of light and health feeds every person coming through the doors. Function becomes beauty while continuing the legacy of "The Workshop".
THE COTTAGE - LOVINGLY RESTORED FOR HEALING
The charm of this lovely former campus superintendent's home flows through its reinvisioning as Lifetime Recovery's health center. Providing detox services, nursing care, and medication supervision, compassionate healing is most evident in this intimate setting. By bringing a person from their most vulnerable state to a readiness for healing and transformation, "The Cottage" becomes the place where recovery begins.
THE GROUNDS - A SETTING FOR "RE-CREATION"
The beauty of Lifetime Recovery's 18.5 acres of South Texas; gentle landscape, dotted with oak and mesquite trees, offers a peaceful, tranquil setting for recovery. This includes recreational facilities for softball, volleyball, walking tracks, and other sports activities. Common outdoor areas allow for community gatherings, group meetings, and individual serenity spaces. New landscaping, lighting, proper drainage, and parking provide the infrastructure for safe surroundings that preserve the campus feel.
