1963 TO PRESENT
Established in 1963, Lifetime Recovery has served the people of the Bexar County and South Texas community for the past 55 years. Lifetime has successfully lead thousands on their journey to recovery, with many alumni becoming highly productive members of society. Lifetime Recovery has developed and maintained long-standing relationships with Federal, State and County entities, Treatment Alternative to Incarceration Programs, and other agencies to obtain financial resources for treatment of the uninsured, under-insured, and medically indigent population.
After experiencing tremendous growth in the clients served, Lifetime has expanded to provide services for more than 2,000 participants annually. Recent expansions include increasing outpatient co-ed clients and expanding the outpatient facility with new amenities to enhance the client's treatment experience.
Lifetime Recovery is a nonprofit corporation under Section 501 (c)(3) of the IRS, and is licensed through the Texas Department of State Health Services. Lifetime is a Gold-level member of GuideStar and in 2017 achieved a three-year accreditation from the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

THE NEXT 40 YEARS
Lifetime Recovery has grown to be one of the largest residential treatment centers in South Texas and the only gender-specific inpatient treatment for men. In order to continue a 55 year legacy of providing the highest quality, client-centered care for men suffering the ravages of substance use disorders, it is critical and urgent that Lifetime renovate three Heritage buildings which exist on the Southton Road residential campus. Lifetime Recovery's $6.9 million capital campaign will provide for a project design that emphasizes the historical beauty of the buildings while introducing 21st century infrastructure and amenities. These infrastructure upgrades will bring the campus into compliance with current codes for the comfort and safety of the more than 800 clients served annually. While current facilities, built in the 1930s and 1940s, are grandfathered in for service, they are not adequate to meet the growing client need and would not pass current codes. This project will resolve deferred maintenance issues and upgrade the infrastructure of the buildings, while honoring their historic nature. Lifetime intends to break ground in January 2019 and complete the renovation by March 2020. |
Your contribution to the Capital Campaign is greatly appreciated! Please download the pledge form and return it to Lifetime Recovery with your payment or use the button to donate through our website. Thank you for helping us save lives!
